I have a Kubota B6200 with a 48" 3pt hitch snowblower, the rear pto can be set at 540 or 858 rpm. Which would be the better speed to use, I've tried both and the higher speed seems to through a lot further but I'm concerned about the how it would affect the snowblower and tractor bearings etc. Any ideas?

I would use the 540rpm. Just to be on the safe side. But that isn't the answer you were looking for. You wanted someone to tell you to use the 858 so that whenthe bearings fried you would not have to take the blame upon yourself. I have yet to see a piece of equiptment that didn't have the rated pto speed listedon it somewhere. Or if by some weird freak of fate ALL markings were removed any dealer worth its salt could have told you that 540 was the better speed for the machine. ....

I guess your right that 540 would be the better speed to run the blower at I just wish the thing would throw the snow a little further than 8ft. I have a Honda 9hp walk behind that will throw the snow 50ft in the air easy and atleast that far. Roy ....
